Position Title: VP- Regulatory Business

Responsibilties:
The Vice President and his Staff draw on their regulatory expertise to plan and execute strategy for United Water’s regulated business units , including the optimal allocation of capital and operating resources, in order to maximize revenue recoveryr eturn on equity for each regulated entity on a sustainable basis and in line with operational objects.
This involves planning and developing rate relief filings in coordination with operations, engineering, corporate, and finance/accounting, and executing those to meet expected returns as forecastoutlined throughin the Medium Term Plan (MTP) Strategic Planning process.
Conducts economic research to Ddetermines if rates charged to consumers provide sufficient operating revenue, and coordinates with Finance and Operations the optimal allocation of operating and capital resources to the regulated business units , so as to maximize revenue recovery.
Manages, Directs and coordinates the Company’s responses to and participation in other regulatory matters such as rule makings, generic proceedings, management and other regulatory audits, and regulated acquisitions and divestments. Builds and maintains strong relationships with regulators in all jurisdictions.
Conducts and participates in related studies which aid in development of company financial policies.
Under the direction of the VP, the Rates department investigates and develops improved methods and procedures for compiling and evaluating data, which is used to determine if revenues are providing a sufficient rate of return on a current and prospective basis, and works closely with corporate, segment and local departments to implement effectively these methods and procedures.
The incumbent works closely with Corporate, segment, and local BU management to ensure accurate and timely planning, preparation and prosecution of rate cases. This includes prefiling meetings with regulatory agencies, preparation of Commission filing requirements, preparation of direct and rebuttal testimony and exhibits, response to audit and data requests, analysis of opposing parties’ evidence, hearings and other litigation processes, and settlement negotiations.
Represents the regulated companies at regulatory hearings, by presenting testimony, as necessary or appropriate in each case.
The Regulatory Department prepares and submits other regulatory studies and reports such as periodic earnings reports, revenue and other reconciliations, depreciation studies and analyses, cost of service allocations, various surcharges and surcredits, pass-through and index filings, and generic proceedings.
Direct the progress of Commission management audits and other regulatory investigations.
Retains and directs outside consultants and counsel where necessary or appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Excellent writing, public speaking, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of all phases of regulatory processes, policies and practices

Position Title: Application Engineer
Location: Elmwood Park, N. J.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include preparation of contract proposals, customer negotiation, assist Sales Manager, technically advise Regional Managers, preparation of final job packages and other interrelated activities.
• Prepare preliminary designs (P&ID’s, PFD’s, Equipment Layouts).
• Size and select all equipment.
• Work with the Estimating Group to prepare detailed material Estimates.
• Assist Regional Managers in technical areas aspects of products and application.
• Prepare detailed contract proposals.
• Prepare and make presentations to customers.
• Negotiate with customers.
• Prepare final job package.
• Prepare marketing data.
• Conduct training sessions/seminars.
• Maintain application standards.
• Participate in the market introduction of new products and processes.

Qualifications:
• Candidates should have experience with disinfection and oxidation processes for municipal and industrial applications.
• Bachelor of Science Degree - Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering preferred.
•Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer In Training (EIT) desirable.
•4 years related engineering experience which would transfer to our environment.
Position Title: Western Canada Regional Sales Manager
Location: Canada-Alberta-Calgary

Responsibilities: Manage all sales activities in the Canada region to achieve sales goals. Additionally the Western Canadian RSM will support sales activities for Industrial products & services (20% of time). This RSM will be expected to focus on the Oil & Gas industry and specialize in Produced Water Applications. RSM must manage an existing rep network and evaluate reps on a continuous basis. RSM must identify customer needs. RSM must negotiate contracts and turn these projects successfully and efficiently over to the in-house project team. RSM must monitor key client and industry actions and update the A-WPT information database. RSM must monitor competitor activities and update A-WPT database. RSM must complete a yearly business plan for the region.
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environment or other related
• Minimum five years of water treatment system sales experience.
• Minimum two years of produced water experience
• Demonstration of good client contacts in Western Canada
• Demonstration of successful prospecting techniques.
• Demonstration of reaching & exceeding sales targets.
• Demonstration of successful closing techniques.
• Prior experience working with reps a plus.
• Water treatment system process design.
• Understanding of the technical building blocks of water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Ion Exchange, Media Filtration, Disinfection and other technologies.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas water treatment applications and in particular Produced Water applications.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on own and self initiate all sales activities.
